When I was in Prague, the dollar was dropping like a stone. $1 = 19kc when I went there in October 2007. When I left September 2008, $1 = 15kc. This totally fucking sucked when I was converting money from home, but I kept comforting myself - well, at least my savings will be worth more when I go home, haha I joked that of course when I returned home the dollar would rocket up again because thatapos;s just the way life goes for me, but come on, our economyapos;s horrific right now. I figured itapos;d keep sinking, maybe if I held off a little itapos;d get even lower, plus I wanted to see what was happening with the banks, so I didnapos;t change it right away. Even if that didnapos;t work, how high could it go in a couple weeks?
A week or so ago I checked the conversion to see if it was a good time to change my money. $1 = 17kc. The hell? Ah, must be a weird fluke. Maybe if I wait a little while itapos;ll sink again...
Today $1 = 18.5kc.

ECONOMY. WHAT THE FUCK. YOU ARE SCREWING ME IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY.
So, shit. ::stares forlornly at pileapos;oapos;korun:: Do I change it now? Man, you know if I change it the korun will sink back to 1=15 again next week. But I really hate just sitting on all this money. Maybe I should just change my forint and then do the korun later...thatapos;ll land me a whopping $47 for my 9600huf...BTW in case youapos;re thinking that Iapos;m angsting over nothing - the difference between me changing my korun at 1=18 and at 1=15 is about $380.
I HAVE MADE AN ERROR IN JUDGMENT.
Any economy majors wanna give me a hint here? Whatapos;s the projection on conversion rates?
